British Red Cross: Emergency Response

A video promoting British Red Cross’ expertise in responding to all kinds of emergencies – anything from major incidents to transport accidents, evacuations, floods and fires. The programme was targeted at personnel responsible for emergency planning, both within the emergency services, and in local and regional government. We combined interviews with planners and survivors, archive news footage and dramatic reconstructions. Using digital video techniques we also used colour to emphasise key points. Black and white images (with splashes of red) signified day-to-day life for Red Cross members, and colour was used for emergency situations.
