Lloyds: Stemming the Tide

Commissioned by LloydsTSB, Stemming the tide aims to raise awareness of money laundering and to motivate staff to be proactive in looking for tell tale signs and share information with colleagues. It was vital to get across the fact that money laundering is an activity which is linked to organised crime and terrorism, and that staff can help cut off the money that funds these activities.

The programme is presented by Donal Macintyre whose investigative journalist background gives weight and authenticity to the stories we see unfold. These stories are told through dramatic reconstruction, stylised graphics, news archive and interviews, including a contribution from a LloydsTSB staff member who was travelling on one of the bombed London trains on 7th July 2005.

It has a hard hitting, contemporary style, but with high production values including imagery which establishes the analogy between ‘dirty’ money flowing through our banking system and the pollution of rivers and waterways which must be stopped at its source.
